Port Free

David is scheduled to get his port removed tomorrow. I know this is kind of short notice, but it was short notice for us too. I have also been very sick, so I haven't been able to update.

All of this is health permitting, though. He still has a pretty decent cough, and a runny nose, so I don't know if they will go ahead with this tomorrow or not. There is no way for us to know until we get there, though.

Once the port is removed, we don't have to worry about him getting fevers as much. One of the main concerns for him currently when he runs a fever is that the port has an infection in it. Once it is removed, and since we are this far past his last round of chemo, it is just the normal concern of any child with a fever.

We are really looking forward to warmer weather and healthier bodies. Thanks again for your prayers!
